Wah- I enjoyed your performance in Indianapolis on Saturday night.  I was quite impressed with your energy and stamina. A beautiful and sensuous voice and no breaks! PLW Monday, November 9, 2009 10:17 AM

Wah!- I experienced your music and energy for the first this past August at Omega. I felt a freedom dancing that night I've never felt before. The combination of sounds - voice and instruments - was a cornucopia of bliss. I was amazed to hear that the four of you had never played together before ... the beatboxer (I am blanking on his name) [Mike Haziza ed.] was perfection with the vibe of your music. My question is will the four of you record a CD?  Thank you for the harmony you bring to the flow of the universe. Jessica Wednesday, October 14, 2009 09:16 PM

Hi Jessica, Yup, we are working on that CD now. Chants to Divine Mother entitled MAA, to be released in 2010. thanks for the kudos! wah 11/20/09 1:04 PM

Hi Wah! I saw you at Bhakti Fest and you were simply AWESOME!!! It was a gift to be able to chant with so many wonderful wallahs. Personal bias aside, I truly believe that your set was simply the best among the crème de la crème of kirtan! You truly are a gift that keeps on giving. (-; I saw that you’re still touring wide and far. I am so very happy for you and for the world (to have the chance to see you live). Anita 10/19/09 11:13 AM

Dear Wah, On behalf of all our students and staff who attended your workshop last week at The Yoga Garden in Narberth, I want to extend a very heartfelt 'thank you' for taking the time out of your busy tour to spend an evening with us. Everyone was thrilled with the way you explained the reasoning and the philosophy behind the chants, and how you made it so accessible for them. Mark 10/9/09 2:43 PM

Hi Wah, I just wanted to say, thanks for the great kirtan at Integral Yoga Princeton last night. I have to say.. I was really blown away by how you worked with that space and the people there. I learned a lot, and was reminded that the real practice is teaching and healing. I don't know that community well .. we have only been there for your kirtans.. but I felt to me that there were a lot of people in the room who were physically ill, and I was really inspired by how strong you were in bringing the energy up and bringing them with you. Marianne 10/12/09 11:30 AM

Thanks marianne, The energy was thick that night, there were a lot of old issues and energetics that needed to be cleaned up. Thank you for mirroring that observation back to me, I guess it probably was a situation where many physical ailments were present. Whew! Just keep chanting and healing, chanting and healing- it's not ours to do, it is only ours to call upon it and allow it to work its way into people's hearts. Thank you for your friendship and for coming and supporting our shows, your presence is gratefully appreciated. With love in divine, wah 10/13/09 11:31 AM

Wah! I could not think of a better reason to deprive myself of sleep than to be in the space we cultivated in Joshua Tree.... I had a marvelous time and truly enjoyed the moments.... Thank you for sharing yourself during your time of new energies and awakenings.  In a whirl wind weekend of Bhakti energy everywhere it was beautiful to draw that energy right to the moment... focusing on you in those peaceful shaded areas..... You are an angel and I am humbled to have shared moments of creation with you, Peacemaker  Saturday, September 19, 2009 2:20 PM

Hi Wah, Just wanted to say, you rocked at Bhakti Fest.  That was such a great set and you should have seen yourself in that beautiful sari as the sun was setting and your scarf was blowing in that desert breeze!!  and I had just gotten out of Sara Ivanhoe's class.. Went so deep in savassana... then stumbled over to that area of the fest and there you were!  You must have been channeling Mother, because one song really got me!  Abiram... from our San Diego Satsang really got me too earlier in the day.  Sequoia was so great too! Hi Wah, Just came back from the Ecstatic Chant weekend at the Omega center. Your name came up many times in conversations the the various lunch and dinner tables. First, was that we missed you on this glorious chant weekend. Your playing would be the only thing that could have improved the weekend. I met a friend, Jennifer, who has been living with Amma in India. So we went to he gift store and bought two of your Embrace CDs and one of your meditation series CDs. So then you were actually with us in spirit that weekend!!!!!!!! I then met a person and she talked about participating in a yoga and music series with you. She said it was very spiritual to have you teach and then sing. That as what I am inquiring about, are their any plans to shedule that combination again? Peace, Timothy 9/9/09 10:14 AM,

Timothy, Very kind of you to write.  I too missed being there and connecting with everyone, but my health just didn’t allow much travel this year. The retreats (when I teach yoga in the morning, chant in the evening) are lovely, I agree.  I’m not sure when my next one is, actually.  I often do them at Kripalu.  Where are you located?  I sometime teach a yoga class after the evening concert in certain towns, maybe I could do that in your town. All love, wah

Hola, Wah. Thanks so much for a beautiful, soulful experience at the SRF Lake Shrine (Los Angeles). Not only was I moved by your music but I was also taken with who you are.  You're a very cool lady. As we used to say in the music business - you're the **it. When you're back in LA LA Land, I hope you give me a bell.  It would great to break bread together. Dear Wah, I was so thrilled to experience your kirtan on Wednesday at Kripalu. I have only seen you one other time at New Year’s there when Matt was just starting to play with you.  I cannot praise the growth of the music enough.  Wow, it was mesmerizing and your talks were a blast.  I loved hearing Matt be loud enough as he has stepped up considerably plus loved the voice artist as well. I wish you healing and know you will get there.  Thanks for the most beautiful performance.  I wanted to clap although I realize that is not the custom. Sincere regard and affection, CD Nelsen 7/10/09 5:23 PM

CD, Very kind of you to email, thank you for your kind words and blessings! Being “in it”, I have little perspective of the evolution and artistry of the music, so it is especially wonderful to hear your comments.  Thank you most kindly! wah 7/12/09 7:28 PM

Dear WAH, I went to Kripalu(Lenox, MA) last Sat. night and was 'spellbound'. Thank you very much for the inspiration! I was with Gary Goldberg and we tried to say hello afterwards but it seemed that many of your fans were also wanting to say hello to you and seeing that you were in a wheelchair we felt that perhaps the timing wasn't right to bother you. I sincerely hope that everything is ok and that whatever was injured that evening has been resolved. We are looking forward to meeting you and hearing you again at the Hindu temple in October. Take care, Bonnie Friday, July 3, 2009 2:13 AM

Hey Wah, precious! I am still filled with joy after our mantra singing yesterday (at Spirit Yoga in Berlin). Singing with you, I was especially filled with bliss. My heart opened up, I felt love for God, for everyone and gratitude for you. Friends there also told me that they were glad to see me so happy. Everyone who comes to your concerts is blessed. Hey there, Wah! I just wanted to drop you a line to say what a fab time I had at your concert about a week ago in Downers Grove! We frequently listen to your music during practice, but it was such a treat to actually share the energy live! What an absolute buzzy event! Huzzah! I am a actor/singer by trade, and have been kind of turned off by singing as of late because of the types of songs I've had to sing over the years for corporate events (if I sing, "Stayin' alive" or "I will survive" one more time, I don't think I can take it! LOL!). I want to thank you for reinvigorating my love for music! I had a ball just having fun with the call and response of it all, and it was a bit like playing the game "Simon" from the 80s... trying to remember what to sing next! Anyhoo, more of it, I say! I bought your double disc CD set and am listening to it as I clean the house. Thank you for sharing your love and light with me through your passion! Namaste to you! Take good care, and hope to see you around! Me the Keillor 5/3/09 2:34 PM

Thank you k, I loved your email, so much fun! I agree with you: more of it, I say! The more we can sing and collaborate and come together with people in a positive way, I say go for it. It seems perfectly natural to graduate from corporate gigs to devotional ones; there's nothing wrong with good training. But how nice to move on to "singing cause you love to"! Rock on girl, Hope to see you again, wah 6/2/09 2:34 PM

Greetings! What an incredible experience being with all of you at KIRTAN JAM, and sharing and claiming our musical forces.  Wah, you brought it out of us and then stirred the mix and it's still stirring in me.  I've never had a teacher reach through me and pull out my heart in such a gentle fashion. I learned SO much in such a short amount of time. Blessings to all the sweet musicians and an exalted thank you! Jennifer Wednesday, May 13, 2009 8:57 AM

Dear Wah,Thanks for a great KIRTAN JAM!  The review of the 'basics' of arrangements, musical structure, use of microphones, etc, was enjoyable even to trained pros because you presented it all so articulately both from your perspective and that of Indian music generally. It was enlightening to hear you think out loud and build arrangements based on the basic principles that you had laid out. I deeply appreciated performing my piece in the concert program.  At the time it was being composed, I honestly didn't cast myself in the role of leading it. I assumed an experienced singer would do it. But in the days before the workshop it became clear that I should try leading it.  Doing so definitely took me out of my comfort zone! The KIRTAN JAM format provided a safe space for me to try it.  Thank you and Good luck on your European tour! Namaste, Will Tuesday, May 12, 2009 11:16 AM

Dear Wah! I just wanted to thank you for coming to Truth or Consequences last month. It's a small venue but certainly a place for your magic. Speaking for myself I have never experienced such freedom from my "monkey mind" as I have since. Most of my yoga life has involved much speaking of the Spirit aspect of it while diligently following my asana practice in the hopes of someday getting it. Last month I finally got it. Not to over-analyze success but it seems to have started with what you said about "hare krishna", not just what you spoke of but how, as if you've really lived it and found that it works. Anyway this has been the longest period of quiet mind that I can recall so thanks once more. In the interest of keeping this alive I ordered your book, although I'm traveling now and won't get to see it until next week. I'm still enjoying the CD you signed, and am on the email list so I'll know when you will be in New Mexico again. Meanwhile keep doing what you do..... Jeff 4/20/09 6:36 AM

Thank you jeff, a very touching email.  I am glad you have found some resonating silence, it’s so important to find.  There are so many changes to go through in one’s life, and the self is the only companion.  I think the only way to make peace with yourself is to find ease of heart.  The chanting sure helps me get there, I’m glad it found its value with you too.
Kind regards, wah 4/20/09 4:21 PM

Dear Wah! I was so honored to be at your concert in Cambridge, Mass this past Saturday evening, and I have to say, you never cease to amaze me!  I love your Kirtans, and they are the highlight of my year, as they always elevate me to another level!  I have a couple of questions: 1) What is the name of the song you sing to call in the deities? 2) What does Sita Ram mean? and why do I feel moved to tears when we chant it in a group? I hope to see you at Kripalu in June! Namaste! Amy 3/16/09 10:53 AM

Hi amy, The invocation to Divine Mother and Ammachi is "Opening" Track 1 of SAVASANA. I do other mantras as well, if you want to know them. Sita Ram is the female/male energy of Ram.  If you google Ram or Sita Ram I’m sure you will get stories and info.  It is sustaining energy.  To me it is nourishing like food, or love. Being nourished on the level of Divine Self is beyond description, what other human expression is there for it but tears? Blessings, wah

Dear Wah,  I have so much to tell you!  Oh how I have been searching, and now I have been led to you! It is finally very clear to me – at least for now! I have been a pianist since age 4. After years of performing and teaching, I left music as a career so that I could provide comfortably for my two children.  The past 24 years have been blessed.  Wonderful people work in the business world – there are beautiful, loving spirits everywhere, and there is a need for love everywhere.  One day in prayer, I asked the same thing I had been asking all along – what is my calling?  This time, the answer came to me, as clear as a bell.  I should sing!  I always wanted to sing, but thought that a voice was something you either had or didn’t have.  And I sure didn’t have one! So that was my next prayer.  I hooked up with a wonderful, loving teacher and have been going down the somewhat elusive path of vocalism.  A year ago, I was asked to sing several songs in a funeral service for a composer/poet who passed away.  I had such admiration and love for this woman, I wanted to make sure her family heard the beauty of her art.  Somehow it happened, and we were all transported that day.  I do not understand how it happened  - that day, and hardly ever any others  –  except for two things - intent and love.  I think this is where you come in! I have heard your beautiful chanting for several years.  In yoga class, I actually bubble up inside with joy when I hear your voice, and realize that my teacher has chosen to set the practice that day to your singing. That’s when I know it will be a special practice.   I believe it must be those two things – intent and love. Last night I tried chanting with you, and making up my own.  It was incredibly healing!  Then I was drawn to look online, and wouldn’t you know it, you happen to be in town on Sunday!  I will be there!  I cannot wait! Love and blessings to you, Mary 3/14/09 7:07 PM

Hi mary, We met after chanting on Sunday in Glastonbury, thank you for coming up afterwards and saying hi.  I am so happy to hear the CONNECTION you have while singing – it is important, maybe even the whole lifeline to spirit itself.  Singing and making the song and composing and creating and offering and breathing and making it beautiful is such an important thing.  We share that.  I wish you every success with your music.  Write on the piano, sing as you walk in the woods, connect to Source energy with love!  All love, wah

Dear Wah, Thank you very much for the beautiful, soulful performance you gave in Philadelphia last Sunday.  I've been enjoying your CD Krishna for years, and was delighted when my friend told me you were coming to Philadelphia. I loved every minute of your performance.  I especially fell in love with one of the chants towards the end, I believe it was the third or second to last.  It was one that had the audience dancing and it might have included the refrain "jai la" although I can't remember exactly. Thank you again for sharing your extraordinary talent and love with the world. Peace, Marcy 3/13/09 10:10 AM

Hi marcy- Thank you for coming, it was an incredible evening of joy and song.  The encore that everyone was dancing to was “Hanuman”  (Jai Jai Hanuman) which is on Love Holding Love. http://cdbaby.com/cd/wah Blessings always, wah

Wah, Thank you so much for being you. You work so hard to spread the glory of life. You help me to rejoice each day. The tenderness in which you deliver the words and music is so very intense and at times even too much too bear. So filled with love and so much caring. Please rest well  knowing that you are fullfiling your most highest dreams in yourself and in turn in all of us. I take such great pleasure in seeing you do that and sharing your joy. Blessings to you always and in all ways. I hope to see you again soon. Bob Saturday, March 14, 2009 6:07 AM

Hi Wah!, Thank you so much for what you and your band brought to the crowd in Kent, CT last night (and for signing my CD).  I am in awe of you! Is your book "Dedicating Your Life to Spirit" out of print? I checked CDbaby.com and Amazon and couldn't find a link to order. Thanks and be well! Var 3/14/09 6:46 AM

Wah... you are a service to karma. You process not only your own but many other people's karma as well. Thank you, we love you, Randy 1/7/09 5:30PM

Thank you Randy, I don't need to go everywhere, and say "Oh I've travelled everywhere in the world" and have an impressive array of towns everywhere where people love me. I just need to be with people as a transformational energy to learn the skills that I want to learn. It can only be done with spiritual heat, through working with people in this way. And so I am placed in many different situations with many different people who need this energy. It is a privelege to be able to do this and I am grateful for the opportunity. love you too! wah 1/8/09 7:27 AM

Dear Wah! I wanted to come see you perform in Maryland last year but as it turned out I was recuperating from 2 surgeries and a long stay in the hospital. As I went into the operating room, I was singing "Come to Me"! Now, you are in tour in Florida, and I find it quite miraculous that your are performing at MY yoga studio!!! Your music has been such a source of joy, peace and faith for me. Thank you. I knit you a scarf. Hope you can use it! Namaste, Karen 1/14/09

Yesterday, while riding in the car, my granddaughter Sophi said, "Grampa, will you put on Wah!, please?"  So I did.  And she was chanting most of the time that she was pushing her cart around TJ's.  Back in the car, she said, "Grampa...I'm Wah!"  So, I told her that I was very happy to have Wah in the car, and I loved her singing.  Later, she said, " Grampa?  Really, I'm Ringo, but I KNOW Wah! (she says Wah! very loud, because of the x-mark)...we're friends." LOL Thursday, January 1, 2009 11:39 PM
